S Fairfax Demolition - The Ugly
As the demolition continues, now we open up areas that...weren't so elegantly constructed. In many cases, what was retrofitted over more recent years is where the various trades made a mess.
Where all the plumbing comes together at the kitchen (where originally they had included the washer and dryer), old pipes where just left in the wall and not capped.
In the transition to new wiring, many areas had left old wiring, sometimes even leaving a hot wire with some tape wrapped on the end! Fire hazard!
The mess of a wall where multiple renovations have left remnants from over the years. The paneling indicates where the original entry to the house was, while the exterior siding shows the location of the original carport.
