Krisana Park - Mid Century Modern
We've always been intrigued by mid-century modern architecture and have enjoyed exploring the homes in Krisana Park and Arapahoe Acres. As luck would have it, we were able to purchase a mid-century home in Krisana Park (Denver). This home is part of an enclave of 175 mid-century moderns inspired by the Eichler style of homes in California. The neighborhood was developed by H.B. Wolff from 1954-1957, supposedly on an alfafa field.
The house is set up on a 12’ by 12’ grid and was supposedly prefabricated and craned in and set on a massive rock ridge.
The aesthetic will be mountain modern and we will retain the look of the board and batten siding and the beautiful wide plank oak floors. Currently there is nothing that indicates the entry, so a canopy over the main stair and a better sense of a foyer will be added inside. Upgrades include all new windows and doors, a new kitchen, updated master suite, an additional bath, and all new finishes and fixtures.
We are excited to work with the homeowners to make this mountain home a warm and comfortable place to hang out with extended family and friends throughout the seasons.
